Describe how you felt when you saw each other for the first time on your wedding day:
Josh: I felt like time stopped and like I was in a dream. She literally took my breath away.
Brittany: I was anxious, nervous, and excited all at the same time. He was standing there waiting for me and the moment our eyes locked all anxiousness and nervousness suddenly evaporated. It was real, I was looking at my husband! I felt complete. He was the hottest guy on the beach..that's for sure :)
What was your favorite moment?
We can sum it up by saying THE WHOLE DAY!! Honestly, though, it is so hard to pick out just a few moments!! Besides the moment we saw each other for the first time on our wedding day (we did a first look) another one of our favorite moments was after the wedding and reception we went back down to the beach and did "trash the dress" pictures in the ocean, with all of our close friends and families gathered around watching, it was just such a fun special time!!
Any unique wedding traditions or something you did that was special to you?
We did a first look before our ceremony and that was very special for us and I definitely recommend it to other couples, it was just so special and so intimate, just you two and the photographer catching your first glimpse of each other.. it was magical really ;) We did a unity sand ceremony during the wedding that was really intimate. Another thing we did was at our reception we had an "MC" and our groomsmen and bridesmaids got together and we played a "kissing game" we had a "money shoe" and the way it went was the bigger the bill the better the kiss and everyone got so involved and it was a BLAST. We presented gifts to each other and also to our parents..that was also just a little special thing we did.
Advice to couples:
I would just say enjoy it and and don't make decisions because you feel pressured or rushed.. take your time and do EXACTLY what YOU guys want to do, this is YOUR special day.
