Sea Island Wedding by Scarlett & Stephen

I adore this Sea Island wedding by Scarlett & Stephen. Very elegant and gorgeous with the most beautiful details. Thank you Scarlett & Stephen for sharing this wedding with me!

"Kate and her family used to vacation at Sea Island, and she knew she wanted to also one day have her wedding there as well on the gorgeous grounds of The Cloister. They day finally came, and Kate cascaded on her dad’s arms through the lush gardens to her groom, Andrew, waiting in the little white chapel covered in ivory vines. Inside, while waiting, the guests got a chuckle as the violins played the wedding march 3 times in a row, going on the 4th, as they wondered when the church doors would open. Finally, the doors opened, and Andrew got a huge smile on his face as he watched Kate walk toward her future in a wedding that felt like a fairy tale from a happily ever after storybook." ~Scarlett & Stephen
From the bride:
Andrew and I knew, from the very beginning of our engagement, that we wanted a small, traditional, southern destination wedding. As the epitome of southern hospitality and charm, The Cloister at Sea Island was the perfect place! Our wedding specialist, Amanda Gould, along with the entire staff at Sea Island helped to make our wedding day feel like one straight out of a fairy tale. We began the day by each spending time with our friends and family. Andrew played golf, while I spent the morning relaxing and reminiscing with my bridesmaids in one of The Cloister parlors. Once everyone was ready and all the pre-wedding photos had been taken, it was time for the ceremony. Our ceremony was held in The Cloister Chapel, a charming little chapel surrounded by these amazingly beautiful mossy oak trees. Everything was perfect! I absolutely loved my tiering bouquet of ivory and blush peach roses, lily of the valley, and ivy, but it was gigantic and holding it up for nearly thirty minutes became very tiring! I was just glad I didn’t drop it! Immediately following the ceremony, guests were escorted to The Black Banks Terrace for h’orderves and to try one of our signature cocktails, the Southern Belle-ini (a peach bellini). The reception began shortly thereafter in The Cloister Clubroom, a beautiful glittering room that had been decorated perfectly with these enormous, cascading flower arrangements that matched my bouquet. It was heavenly! Our band, Papa Sol, was amazing and so much fun. They had everyone up and dancing, even Andrew’s grandfather! My favorite part of the wedding was when Andrew and I had our first dance. As the band played "At Last" by Etta James, we looked around the room at all of our friends and family and we realized how special this day was – they were all here, having such a wonderful time, celebrating us! The celebration continued on into the night, until it was time for Andrew and I to depart on a Sea Island golf cart draped with a "Just Married" sign. As we drove away, fountains of sparklers went off, surprising everyone! It felt so magical!
