Backyard Farm Wedding by Rachel Joy Photos

What better way to start the week than with this sweet backyard farm wedding from Ohio by Rachel Joy Photos. I don't know what it is, but I just adore backyard weddings more than anything! Rachel, the photographer, had this to say: "Christine and Zachary live in North Carolina, but managed to pull off a tremendous wedding on her parent's farm in Ohio. With a little help from her wedding planner/friend Ginger Hussey, she was able to have a rustic-vintage-elegant barn reception and a field wedding. The Amish neighbors helped to transport guests in horse and carriage to the far end of the property for the ceremony. Perfect weather, perfect time of day, everything turned out to be beautiful." How sweet is that? Love it!

From the bride: Our wedding had a certain unique feeling to the two of us because it was done on my family's farm. When most people picture a "farm wedding" they picture a "show" farm with no animals, dirt, or mess. This was not the case for us and created many technical difficulties we had to work through but also created exactly the look and feel we wanted. The main thing we hoped to acquire was something slightly vintage, natural, rustic, with still an element of elegance. Being on a real farm with horses, chickens, and many other elements involved the the first part came with ease. I honestly wasn't sure how the elegance would turn out. But when we saw everything set and finished we loved the way it pulled together. One of our funniest moments in the wedding (or so the groom believes) was when he pulled out a toothbrush before the first kiss!
