Daniel Cruz never fails to amaze with his work. Just check out this beautiful winery wedding that took place at the Moravia Wines in Fresno, California. The bride had this to say about her wedding day: "If I were to sum up our wedding in a few words it would have to be a family operation. Everything from the flowers to the food was done by a family member. And if it wasn't done by family, our friends stepped in and blessed us with everything else. There were two things that we really wanted out of our wedding day: we wanted to have everybody on the dance floor at some point, and we wanted a wedding that would be cost effective." From the bride: If I were to sum up our wedding in a few words it would have to be a family operation. Everything from the flowers to the food was done by a family member. And if it wasn't done by family, our friends stepped in and blessed us with everything else. There were two things that we really wanted out of our wedding day: we wanted to have everybody on the dance floor at some point, and we wanted a wedding that would be cost effective. So with those two things in mind we began to plan. The best way I know how to save money is to recycle. So I got all my friends and family to start recycling tins cans for me. Tin cans became the center pieces, the lighting fixtures, party favors, and served as many different organizational pieces for different things. There were over 250 cans used. Keeping the idea of saving money in mind, we looked for locations that would really be worth our money. Our friend recommended a new winery that was justing opening. We attended their grand opening and fell in love; Moravia Winery. Now that we had a location, we started looking for food options. We decided to have horderves and dessert. My mom, Pam, catered the food for the wedding. It was all finger foods which were easy to pick up and eat. My sister, Kate, was in charge of the cake. Our cake was done a little differently because we do not really like cake that much. We do like cheesecake, however. So we had plain cheesecake with a toppings bar. My sister made a variety of different toppings from a spiced nectarine, to a pomegranate drizzle, and much more. For drinks, we had sweet tea, water, four different wines to choose from and beer. Our friend brewed us a wedding beer, a Scottish Ale. Next were the flowers. My other sister, Rebecca, who is the owner of her own business, MissPetalsFlowers did our amazing flowers. Colors for the wedding were navy blue, cream, mustard yellow, and gray. Music was put together by my husband. He then got a friend to act as our DJ. The music was a mix of everything in our attempt to get everyone out on the dance floor. Our Photographer was a very important part of our wedding planning. We really wanted someone we could trust and have a good time with. Daniel Cruz photography was a great choice. Daniel went to high school with my husband and through our engagement and wedding they were able to reconnect. He is an amazing photographer and really captures moments that you want to remember. Some of the DIY projects we worked on were the painting and decorating of the tin cans. We also made several chalk board frames to label different areas. My sister Kate, made tissue paper pompoms which we used to decorate the dance floor. My brother, Ethan, punched holes in over 100 tin cans for us so that we could put candles in them. I think one of my favorite things from our wedding was our exit. We had sparklers and it was just so much fun to walk through and see everyone and really take in the moment. Plus the sparklers made for some amazing pictures. Overall I can not tell you how blessed I feel to have such great family and friends. For you brides who are planning your weddings now I would remind you to ask for help. It is amazing how much can get done with the help of others.
