Turquoise and Pink Wedding by Sun and Sparrow Photography

From the couple: Our wedding was modeled after our passions in life, travel and a sense of adventure! We were able to incorporate this into our décor, food and major moments of the wedding. For the ceremony, the aisles were lined with bright turquoise balloons. It led up to our turquoise, pink, purple and yellow ribbon alter where a close friend performed the ceremony. Once we said our “I Do’s” we ran off to take pictures while our guests we free to explore our venue. Our décor was a collection of travel souvenirs, suitcases, copies of National Geographic and vintage postcards sent by my husband’s grandfather to his grandmother during WWII. To kick off the reception, we performed our self-taught Viennese waltz to Pixar’s UP theme song, Married Life by Michael Giacchino. For dinner, our guests were whisked away to South America, where Peru was the destination. As the Peruvian dinner was underway, the evening was filled with toasts, speeches, and the highlight of the night came when the father of the bride revealed his gift. He presented us with an oil painting of a photo from our engagement shoot! It was so beautiful it brought our photographer and guests to tears. After a little bit of dancing, we soon approached our boarding time and headed to the airport to begin our first adventure to Aruba our honeymoon destination.
