Spanish Wedding Inspiration by Diana McGregor Photography

Oh sweet Spain... Always warm and colorful, Spain inspires like no other country! We're very excited to introduce you to this Spanish wedding inspired shoot beautifully captured by Diana McGregor Photography. Solid glass stemware, burgundy color dominating in table decoration, numerous candles to compliment the style of this pompous wedding, the designer of the project Timeless Love Event wonderfully depicted the sweetness and charm of the country where dreams are big and love is passionate.

The hot air of Spain, tall trees, cicadas restlessly signing in the evenings, you will enjoy seeing how much tables have to offer: bakes mini tarts, savory bread, trays offering pomegranates, almonds and sweet treats, and, of course, music coming from every corner accompanied by sweet voices of young women pouring their hearts and souls into songs of love and devotion. Welcome to Spain, the land of goodness of hearts and abundant lives!

About the shoot: The warmth of pan de bonos in the oven, the sound of coffee grinding, and the voice of my mom in the kitchen was a typical morning for me growing up. Both of my parents were born in Colombia and I have come to embrace my heritage - the food, the music, and especially the coffee.  I value culture.  Le Magnifique’s Cultural Inspiration Challenge allowed me to combine my love of culture with my passion for photography.  What better way to get people thinking about their passports than to tell the story of culture and tradition through photographs.

I decided on a Spanish Inspired shoot because of Spain’s stunning geography and rich wedding traditions. Rancho Las Lomas became perfect backdrop for this shoot with its Spanish architecture and location among the Saddleback Mountain foothills.

I first gathered ideas for the shoot by interviewing family members. My aunt in particular was able to provide me with family heirlooms that belong to her parents in Spain. These included crotchet shawls, Spanish gold coins, a sombrero and castanuelas which are used by flamenco dancers. The bride wore a beautiful Pronovias wedding gown and mantilla veil designed in Barcelona, Spain. The whole team helped created a beautiful shoot filled with rich burgundies and gold accents.  I hope these images inspire you to grab some friends and have a great conversation over tapas and sangria.  Or better yet - buy a ticket to Spain. ¡Salud!
