"Tasha and Juan were married at the beautiful Dubuque Arboretum and Botanical Garden. An unnaturally cold spring meant that a lot of the flowers weren't blooming yet, but here and there pops of color would jump out at you, and the grounds were immaculate. Hotel Julien completely outdid themselves for the reception, and because the groom has a love for 80s music, they hired a Chicago-based 80s band called Weird Science for the second half of their reception! There was also a candy bar at the reception, complete with toothbrushes (the bride is a dentist!) and the quote: "Love is kind, love is sweet, take a treat, but brush your teeth!" During the toasts, the bride's father got up to play a song for his daughter on the keyboard and brought everyone in the room to tears. And for the first dance, the bride and groom spent a few months rehearsing a salsa dance to wow the crowd!" -Rachel Ruffer Photography
