Classic Blue Wedding by Emily March Photography

This classic white and blue wedding captured by Emily March Photography is nothing but stunning! Elegant details, charming bridesmaids in navy blue and the sweet couple of newlyweds, Rob and Laura, embraced our favorite combination of two colors. Reminding us of deep blue ocean and white seagulls flying in the sky, this wedding saturated with prettiness will inspire those who plan summer weddings with a lot of bright colors, different textures and lucky brides maybe will pick their pair of blue suede heels which are totally swoon-worthy!

From Emily March: Laura and Rob's wedding was so beautiful. From the rich community of friends and family that celebrated with them to the pure joy that was written all over their faces all day to the heritage they honored. Laura has a fun, upbeat and spunky personality which matches perfectly with Rob's easy-going demeanor. I think these two could be best friends with anyone who crossed their path!

Laura styled their wedding to reflect their love for all things Charlotte. The two live downtown, and love the city they've come to call home. Instead of table numbers, each table had the name of a major or meaningful road in Charlotte, and the street they chose for their sweetheart table is the one they're living on as newlyweds. Rob and Laura are also big Panthers football fans, so their rooftop reception had a full view of the Panther's Bank of America Stadium and the gorgeous Charlotte skyline. Metallic details and big windows reflected the sophistication of a modern downtown wedding.

While their decorations were beautiful, my favorite aspect of the day was their ceremony location. In 1950, Rob's grandparents were the first couple ever married at Belk Chapel. Following in their footsteps, Laura walked down the same aisle and they took their vows at the same altar. I loved recreating some of the same pictures that were taken 63 years ago, and flipping through his grandparents' guestbook with notes and well-wishes from their wedding. I'm sure it was incredibly powerful for Rob's grandmother to walk back down that aisle as she was seated for her grandson's wedding.
