"Nestled in the back hills of Malibu California, Crystal and Kyle Knox tied the knot at Calamigos Ranch on July 19, 2013 in the presence of two hundred guests, their closest family and friends. The couple's contemporary vintage wedding combined rustic, earthy elements with whimsical, dreamy touches. Surrounded by large weeping willow and oak trees, guests sat comfortably a-top lush green grass, as a warm summer's breeze blew throughout the intimate garden ceremony. A smooth cobblestone walkway led down the aisle toward a short flight of stairs that ended at an elevated platform, which included an oversized, statuesque wooden archway. Bowing perfectly around the beaming couple, the beautifully adorned archway displayed bountiful, Ivory-hued paper peonies and roses, which played upon an Alice In Wonderland theme with artistic ingenuity."
"Channeling her inner Marilyn, the blushing bride wore a handmade bridal gown by Shin Bu Bridal, which accentuated her figure and balanced out her full, vintage curls and bold, retro makeup. Crystal's six bridesmaids wore an eclectic mix of gowns that varied drastically in shades and styles, yet played into each other and the wedding's modern vintage theme with ease. Meanwhile, the groom and groomsmen looked effortlessly dapper in sleek grey Vera Wang, tuxedos.
Only steps from where the ceremony was held, a large welcoming reception hall greeted hungry, happy guests with its rich, country-chic charm. A crackling fireplace, leather couches and an open, window-laden dining area lent a modern, cabin-like feel to the space, which exuded warmth and intimacy. Scattered throughout the room, were long white-linen tables topped with a myriad of sweet treats, vintage candies and sodas, as well as a beautiful 4-tiered fondant cake, garnished with delicate succulents and roses.
The Knox couple's magical night was filled with non-stop dancing, laughing and tears of joy and memories that will last a lifetime." -Nicole Angelo, photographer
