From the couple: "After seeing Marissa's work, we fell in love. She has such a talent for capturing emotion and telling love stories. We wanted our images to sow emotion and seep our most tender love, to be a reflection of our the happiness marriage has brought. As a photographer myself, artistic images really speak to me and I knew Marissa would be able to create art with us. She exceeded our expectations. When searching for the location for our shoot, we wanted to have water. Only an hour away was Fontainebleau State Park with a fabulous lake front, gorgeous towering oaks, and the most romantic cypress trees growing from the water. It was the most ideal location for love to be shared. We started our shoot with very romantic attire and then moved into a casual setting to include our Puggle Ginger. We are so grateful to have these memories and think they speak true to us- romantic, passionate, and full of adventure. My gosh, was that lake chilly for the final sunset images but so worth it."
About the couple: "Oh we could speak forever of our love and never run out of words to say. We met May 2011 studying abroad in Greece. Talk about a dream. After just two weeks, we knew this was it. We confessed our love and a little over a year and a half later, we were married at a gorgeous outdoor garden surrounded by our closest family and friends. The most magical day of our life was that sunset when we said I do- June 1st, 2013. Chase is from Texas and I am from Louisiana. Living just states apart we met miles away. Isn't it crazy how life has that way of surprising you when you least expect it? The journey we have been on together has been incredible and we are still hoping we never wake up from this dream. We are both very laid back and love to travel more than anything. We are always planning a new adventure. We enjoy trying new wines, cooking, and being outside - whether it's kayaking, running, river rafting, hiking, exploring new cities, star gazing, or just soaking up some sun. We can't wait to see all that is in store for us. If our journey so far is any indication, it will be full of magic. Our favorite quote: "I love your feet because they have wandered over the earth and through the wind and water until they brought you to me." -Pablo Neruda"
