ABOUT HER: I am a wedding photographer because I like telling real, uncontrived stories about human emotion and extraordinary things.  It is the same reason that I travel and live a lifestyle of abundant adventure.  People fascinate me, so I’ve been trekking all over the world since I was a teenager to discover new stories.

I adore documenting people in love. I capture real stories as they unfold and give my clients an honest narrative of their love and their loved ones gathering together in joyful celebration. Many photographers tell the same story over and over or to contrive scenarios for images; I am interested in giving you something more honest than a trite, cookie-cutter approach. Your wedding is different!

My love for adventure keeps me interested in constantly learning new things and going new places. When I am not photographing weddings I am hiking in the mountains, dancing or traveling—and often all three simultaneously! This year I am on the road, living and volunteering on organic farms around the Pacific Northwest.

ABOUT HER: Hi y'all! I was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia. The daughter of a boilermaker and a business woman, my parents brought me up to value my God, my family, hard work, and southern traditions. I attended JMU and VCU during my college tenure, earning a Masters in Elementary Education. In July, 2012, I married the man God designed with my heart in mind. I have never seen God work in my life more than when he brought Matt to me, at just the right time and place. We have two puppies who have stolen our hearts, our couch cushions, and my side of the bed.  My photography has become such an extension of my own heart, and I count myself as blessed to wake up every morning and pursue my passion.

Having recently been married myself, I sympathize with the emotions, anticipation, and excitement my clients experience as they plan their wedding day. ABOUT HER: I love smiling, laughing and taking pictures of people doing the same! Especially when they are in LOVE. I was born and raised in California and I wouldn't have any other way. The sun makes me happy. Red velvet anything is my weakness and I can never say no to a cupcake. I have a love/hate relationship with pilates. I have a fondness for bows, headbands and dresses with pockets. I collect cute and adorable mugs. I adore the colors turquoise and coral (separate or together).  I have an addiction to coffee. And maybe gelato too.  My top 3 movies of all time are Pride and Prejudice, The Notebook and Wedding Crashers. My husband is my best friend and I spend every single moment of free time with him and our cute little dog JJ. 

Almost 3 years after my own, I'm still obsessed with weddings. Obviously, specializing in wedding photography was a no-brainer for me. I started my photography journey in high school where we shot and developed our own black and white film. This is also where I learned to properly expose an image and the elements of perfect composition. Even in high school, I loved working with real people. Not models. I enjoyed landscape images but only if there were people in it. I have an attachment to wedding photography because I'm able to photograph real couples on a day inspired by their love for each other. Bringing a very personal element to every single wedding that I'm privileged to be a part of is something that I think sets me apart from other photographers. I adore and care about every single one of my clients. I think the biggest secret to getting genuine and real images of my couples is to get to know them on a personal level and honestly, that is my favorite part!

ABOUT HIM: Without making this sound like an online dating biography, I’ll begin to tell you that I’ve sacrificed and given a lot to be here. There was a time that I didn’t know what to do with my life, when I ran out of money for college, and when I almost joined the military because of that. I chose photography because it’s who I am.
