From the bride: My husband and I knew we wanted an outdoor garden wedding with a vintage feel. When we stumbled upon Camas Meadows Golf Club a few miles from our home, we knew we had found the perfect location. The old oaks and beautiful gazebo provided a romantic backdrop to our ceremony. The chandeliers in the reception tent added to the vintage feel we wanted, while the beauty of our venue spoke for itself. We decided to keep the color palette light and airy – white milk glass vases adorned with bouquets of pale pink garden roses and subtle green and ivory hydrangeas were the perfect mixture of beauty and elegance for our guest tables. We loved the softness of our floral centerpieces, arranged by a close family friend, and how they brought out the romantic feeling of the day. We added personal touches with a few DIY projects that we enjoyed working on with my family and bridesmaids: framed table numbers, candy buffet favors, family wedding photos and signage. Each project made us feel like we were able to make the wedding unique to us, while still ensuring that nothing overpowered the natural beauty of the venue. We truly enjoyed personalizing each aspect of our wedding and would take on those late-night project sessions all over again. On the big day, I relaxed in the bridal suite with my mom, bridesmaids, close friends, and family members. Each and every person with me that morning helped to calm my nerves and build my excitement. If I could give one piece of advice, it would be to surround yourself with whoever makes you the happiest. My husband and I also chose to take time before the ceremony to enjoy each other and shoot our First Look with Murray Photography. You know a photographer has true talent when he or she has the ability to make a camera-shy bride and groom feel at home in front of the camera. Our day was more memorable than we could ever have hoped for, and we will relive the day over and over again through our pictures and the stories of family members. We truly had an amazing day with each other, family and friends, and we couldn’t have asked for a better start to the rest of our lives.
