Our favorite moments were the quiet parts: the drive alone (with my grandparents as chauffeurs) from the ceremony to the reception, and the ceremony. We loved the intimacy that our ceremony provided us even though we had all of our guests watching.
One thing we didn't know was a tradition was the hymn we picked to sing during the ceremony. Great is Thy Faithfulness has been sung at my brother's and parents' weddings. I picked it simply because of its significance to my husband and I.
Our photographers were our highest priority, those memories are the ones that would last. Our locations were a close second. For our photographers, I visited numerous photographer blogs and asked their former brides how they liked their experience with the photographer. We couldn't have been more thrilled with our photographers. Nickles photography did an insanely great job. My husband didn't want to spend any money on photography and even he was glad we hired them. Looking for venues was a bit more challenging. You just have to visit every place until you find the right fit.
We loved all of our vendors. It was such an amazing feeling to leave your wedding absolutely thrilled with how it went. The best surprise we got were a sampling of pictures the very next morning from our photographers. We even showed the flight attendants pictures on the way to our honeymoon.
