We certainly enjoy seeing a lot of pastel colors in this wedding: blush roses, lamb ears, ranunculus masterfully incorporated in this wedding bouquet, and a fun red bus with smiling faces in it. What a fun wedding it is!
About their wedding: Our wedding day started out pouring rain. Luckily, right before our ceremony began the rain stopped and the sun came out! Dan and I got married at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Glenview, where we both grew up. This church was special to us because both of our parents were married there as well. We were engaged for 18 months and after much planning we were so excited for our big day. We wanted to make our wedding classic and simple. Everything looked soft and elegant. Our colors were dusty shale, peach, and cream. These pastel colors ended up going beautifully with our spring day. I had so many wonderful memories of the day. My favorite was when my dad walked me down the aisle, and when I got to end and was walking up to the alter Dan told me how beautiful I looked. I could see how genuine he was. We were both so happy and cherished the ceremony. After the ceremony our wedding party took the old Chicago trolley to Valley Lo Club where our reception was. This location was special to us for many reasons. My family has been members there since I was about 10, and this is where I met some of my best friends. Two of whom stood up with us on our wedding day! We look pictures at the beach and on the beautiful lawn and garden. At the reception, our family and friends gave heartfelt speeches that did not leave a dry eye in the house, as well as provided plenty of laughs. The night continued with dinner and dancing. The day was absolutely beautiful and went by in a flash. It is so nice to be able to look back on the photos to relive it!
