San Marcos Wedding by Bethany Carlson Photography

From the couple: We got really lucky on our day because every weekend in December it rained... except for our day, the eighth! Our theme was somewhat vintage and our colors were white, champagne, blush and peach. The day started out perfectly, bright and sunny. We had chosen not to see each other before the wedding which was fun because it built up the excitement going into the ceremony. While we got ready in our separate locations we got to enjoy great times with our closest friends and family and toast to new beginnings with a glass of champagne. I felt so pampered and loved by my girls and Michael felt so supported by the great guys in his life. When the time finally came for the ceremony we were so excited and pumped up! We had a string quartet play the ceremony music including the bridal party music and the processional music. It was beautiful, and the lighting was absolutely perfect. The flowers were more beautiful then I ever thought they would be! Our venue was gorgeous, there were green rolling hills behind us and fall colored trees all throughout the golf course. Our brother in law was our officiant and did a wonderful sermon about marriage. He captured the nature of our relationship with each other perfectly. Before the reception started we had a cocktail hour for our guests while we were whisked away on golf carts to take pictures together. These moments together were so special, we got to be snuggled with a blanket in each others arms. This was one of our favorite things about our wedding. During the reception one thing that we noticed was the love and support from all of our family and close friends; this is what we were most grateful for. It really was a happy and emotional day.
