Oakley Hall Vintage Styled Shoot

This beautiful shoot captured by Jade Osborne Photography features so many wonderful artists who were inspired by silk roses, wedding cakes and France. Dressed in a beaded gown, the bride for the day is Caroline who is also a talented make-up artist. Truly elegant, this session is a masterpiece of colors, details, accents and labor of love. Love for intricate details and style which is timeless.

Find your inspiration in the 3 tier wedding cake embellished with silk flowers and lace that is not just delicate, but also edible! That's what we call it creativity as its finest! Gorgeous blooms provided by Cheerful Blooms, pearl necklaces, chandeliers and silver ware, could we even resist that beauty?!

About the shoot: Oakley Hall Wedding Venue was the inspiration behind the shoot.  It is a stunning Queen Anne mansion set in the beautiful Shropshire countryside on the borders of Shropshire, Staffordshire and Cheshire and is actually home to the Fisher family who hire it out as an exclusive venue for weddings. There are many windows, all of them very tall and symmetrical and although the building is Queen Anne, it reminded me of a French chateau which is where the inspiration for the theme came from. I knew I wanted to create a romantic, wistful feel to the shoot, and it's on that basis the dresses were chosen from Sarah's Wedding Exchange. Rather than focusing on lots of accessories for the bride, I wanted to focus more on the overall look and feel of the shoot, the venue and keep accessories simple and to a minimum.  The flowers in the bride's hair worked perfectly for this - simple but so effective. Keeping the bride's hair down, rather than an up-do, kept the look simple. The dining room is decorated in a gorgeous muted green and the muted pinks chosen for the theme worked beautifully. Pretty Little Vintage Trio China Hire did an amazing job in coming up with some lovely china pieces and glasses as well as the lace for the table and candelabra. Hattie Boo Designs created the elegant stationery with coordinating pinks and with a French theme. The Little Velvet Cake Company designed the gorgeous 3 tier cake, with intricate lace detailing to echo the lace tablecloth and the flowers on the cake coordinated with the flowers in the model's hair. Cheerful Blooms did a wonderful job of keeping the look cohesive with muted pinks and cream roses, all reflecting the romantic feel of the shoot. Caroline was the beautiful bride for the day and also is a makeup artist, specializing in bridal makeup.
