Dragos & Laura of Be Light Photography produce images to die for. Like this wedding from Romania. I love every thing about this wedding - from the bride's dress to the bride & groom portraits. Just beautiful!
From the couple:We wanted to have a wedding in which we would bring our contributions so that it would reflect our personalities. We love the DIY projects so we made the wedding invitations ourselves (the first 10 were fun, but we had to do 130...) Also, we wanted the floral arrangements to have some curly willow branches that we had to cut and peel off and we finished this the day before the wedding... It sure worth the effort as they looked so nice. The thing we loved best was that we had a lot of fun from start to end. Even if we don’t remember all that happened that day in detail, I remember we were so stressed about the wedding dance. We took dance lessons but just when we were about to dance I realised I had forgotten the choreography, so Vlad was whispering the dance moves to me while we danced..looking back it now seems funny. However, the second time we danced (there is a tradition called ”steeling the bride” and the groom must regain the bride by doing a punishment and they asked Vlad to dance the waltz again), all went well. I think the most important thing is that we had the wedding we wished for, we put a lot of effort, ideas and feeling into it and we enjoyed it.

From the bride: From early on I dreamed my wedding day would fun and memorable. And it was. My goal was for everyone to experience a vintage-themed wedding. It was so nice from the beginning of the day to be pampered I tried to incorporate not only a lot of beautiful elements, but memorable ones too. For example, my mother-in-law and I found this huge chalkboard and were able to write out our entire bridal party on it for guests to see as they walked into the ceremony. We also had a few DIY projects. Our favors where little notes with a small rope "knot" tied onto it. We cut and tied the rope ourselves and my mother-in-law even burned the edges of the paper by hand to give it a rustic appeal. Another DIY project was our guest book. We had a calendar custom designed and printed locally and each guest signed their name on their birthday. Along with our vintage theme we had stumps of wood throughout as details, and these wood stumps were actually chopped and made by my in-laws. Since they live on a large property with lots of trees it was great to incorporate that element into our wedding. One of the special moments in the day was my "First Look" with my dad. I am very close to my dad and I wanted to make this day extra special for him. I wrote him a letter and presented it to him at our first look. After he finished reading it and we wiped back our tears, I pulled out a pen and signed the letter for the last time with my maiden name, Alyssa Apodaca (now Alyssa Cross). Overall my wedding day was perfect. It was packed with details that seemed to take forever to plan, but now that everything is over we are able to look back and realize how great our wedding day truly was. I really thought it would be stressful, but fortunately I have amazing friends and family who helped me relax and thankfully I can say that our wedding day was a day filled with fun memories!!!
