San Diego Engagement Session by LK Griffin Photography

"We met in the spring of 2011 at a mutual friends wedding in Pensacola, FL. Justin attended Villanova University with the groom and roomed with him in flight school, while Sarah knew the groom from high school. Justin offered to drive Sarah home from the wedding and the rest is history. We started a long distance relationship from San Diego to Maryland and then Sarah moved to Alabama for graduate school. After a 7 month deployment, Sarah moved to San Diego to be closer to Justin after graduate school. We love being able to explore the city together, finding some of best restaurants, traveling to surrounding areas, and just enjoying the beaches, hiking, and scenes that San Diego has to offer." -Bride

The proposal: Justin and I love to go up to Cabrillo National Monument in San Diego. It was a tradition we had to go up there every time before I left the city when we were in a long distance relationship. It's a beautiful lookout where you can see the entire city from. One weekend Justin said we were going to take his friend and squadron mate, Giggles, up to Cabrillo since he had never been and wanted to see if before he moved to Italy. Of course I was so excited to show him around Cabrillo. The three of us had brunch at Justin's favorite place, Isabel's, and we all headed up to the lookout afterward. Giggles was always carrying his new, fancy camera, so when he started taking a bunch of pictures I didn't think twice. All the sudden Justin started talking about weird things and I was very confused. The next thing I know he's on his knee asking me to marry him. The whole thing was a whirlwind, and I'm still convinced I blacked out for part of it. It was a perfect proposal with perfect pictures :)
