This particular engagement photo shoot is very unique in many ways. There's so much love depicted through the simplest things: touches, playfulness, softness and warm embraces. It's that feeling that we have when we fall in love with someone we know we're destined to share our life, and the whole becomes our cozy nest for two.
We love these images taken by Helios Images for their documentary style, and their extreme amount of happiness generously poured in every moment that the couple will most definitely cherish for many years to come!
Their love story: We met during residency at UCLA and never would have expected the stars to align allowing us the chance to fall in love, but they did…and thank God they did.
How he proposed: Setting: a get-away weekend in a old VW bus. Tola didn't know any of the plans, she just got in the bus and we drove on what was going to be a surprise romantic beach camping weekend. First stop was oysters by the beach in Ventura, followed by setting up camp in Santa Barbara- a night under the stars, a campfire shrimp boil, a bottle of wine, and nutella smores. Next morning we drove up the coast to our favorite winery and spent the afternoon under oak trees, sun, and guitar music. Second night was spent camping on the foggy coast of San Luis Obsipo-grilled salmon, salad, and a nice bottle of wine. Next morning we wound are way up Highway 1. Tola thought we were heading to the next camp site, but was surprised when we drove up to the Post Ranch Inn. We spent a good amount of time relishing the view, got ready for dinner, and went out for a walk. The end of the path lead to a ocean bluff, towering over a sea of clouds, the sun was close to setting, and I got down on one knee. Tola never knew there was a photographer on the park bench capturing it all.
About their shoot: After the proposal we took a stroll around the grounds of the Post Ranch Inn with Doug snapping shots along the way. The only props were a Demetria bottle of wine and two glasses. The second day was spent along the Big Sur creek and Pfeiffer State Beach.
