Lauren was born in the deepest of south in Houma, LA. John David was born in Memphis, Tn., so technically, he is a yankee to most from Louisiana. Lauren is finishing up her master’s degree in social work. J.D. is running a library 45 minutes north east of Baton Rouge. They enjoy long walks on the beach and own two animals: A bird named Toby and a nimble and short in stature, brindle dog named Walter. Love.
J.D. moved to Louisiana to attend graduate school in Library and Information Science. While there, he ran into his future mate at a local bar where live music was playing. They have not really spent any time apart since.
The proposal was a hodgepodge of jitters and nerves. He said will you, she said yes. Thank God.
