Fontainebleau Inn Wedding by Ashley Therese Photography

"When friends heard that they were both passionate about recycling and actively involved in protecting our beautiful earth, they knew they were the perfect match. And they are. Julia & Jon’s Fontainebleau Inn wedding was absolutely breathtaking...

The Fontainebleau Inn is an historic 1814 estate on the shores of Cayuta Lake, in the heart of the Finger Lakes of New York. The amazing wedding details from their birdcage cardholder, Quaker-style wedding contract “guest book,” handmade soap favors the bride and her family made, table runners handmade by bride's sister and fresh flowers in every color were truly unique and beautiful.

And these special elements continued during their lakeside nuptials. With the lake in the background, they stood in front of a beautiful Chuppah that Julia’s father built. The Chuppah was covered in delicate grape vines from Julia’s family home and was held on each end by members of their bridal party. One of my favorite things during their intimate ceremony was their vows. Instead of having the Justice of the Peace reading them their vows for them to repeat, all of their guest did. Two of their friends held up signs reflecting each line in their vows for all the guests to say out loud. Julia and Jon would then repeat that line of their vow to one another. It was a unique and beautiful way to have their loved ones involved in their ceremony and the joining of their two lives.

After dinner guests enjoyed fresh pies and watched the sun set over the lake. They danced under the stars, which being surrounded by mountains and peaceful forests, were so bright in the night sky. The stars were the perfect accessory to their celebration!" -Ashley Therese Photography
