Farmer's Market Engagement Session by Heather Cherie Photography

How sweet is this Farmer's Market engagement session by Heather Cherie Photography? I love all the pops of color and the apothecary jars that were borrowed from Brooke's father. Such a sweet and unique engagement session and I'm just so excited to share it!

From Heather: "This was a sweet farmer's market engagement session. The fresh flowers were so beautiful that we had to use them at the next location. :) Both Nathan and Brooke are studying to be pharmacists- almost done! Since it is such a large part of their lives right now, we wanted to include that in the session. Brooke's dad is also a pharmacist and graciously allowed us to use his collection of old apothecary jars. I'm looking forward to the couple's wedding in April!"

Their love story:
Nathan and I were both born and raised in Springfield, Missouri - a big city with a rather small town feel. We participated in a lot of the same activities, but didn't attend the same school. There is an award, sponsored by the local elks lodge, that recognizes 2 local high school students, one boy and one girl. We both won the award and after a night of talking with each other and our families, we started spending every moment together. Our lives separated again when we attended different colleges, both away from our hometown. We kept a strong long distance relationship and after 2 years, Nathan joined me as we took on pharmacy school together.

The proposal:
We had to travel to Denver, Colorado for a pharmacy convention. My parents were also attending the conference and Nathan's parents were conveniently going to be in Denver the same time (I was obviously oblivious). We took a day to travel around the city and finished the day at Red Rocks, just around sunset. We started walking the trails, looking at the scenery, when our parents decided to turn back and go to the car (still oblivious). Nathan and I continued walking until he decided to stop. He gave me his headphones as I watched a video he had made, featuring the last 5 years of our lives together, only leaving the last clip with instructions to turn around, finding him on one knee with a ring in his hand.

What he loves about her:
I love that she is caring, selfless and that she always encourages and supports me, bringing out the best of me.

What she loves about him:
I love his warm heart and his desire to always search for the best in everything and everyone.
